The cafe is well spaced out with clear covid procedures in place so we felt safe there.

There was a good selection of savoury dishes some with an authentic South African flavour in keeping with the owners roots. We went Greek and enjoyed the Souvlaki Chicken Skewers which were delicious.

The selection of home made cakes was fantastic, we were fortunate to arrive just after a freshly baked chocolate and hazlenut cake arrived fresh from the kitchen. Rude not to have a try!! And it didnt disappoint.

Highly recommended if you are in Tewkesbury, well worth a visit.

  My boyfriend was very excited to find out there was a South African cafe next to where we were staying. There are plenty of places we can get snacks and... read more bits in the UK but this is the first time we’ve found somewhere serving South African dishes like this.

The first time we went in they unfortunately didn’t have a bobotie going spare but the lady was very nice and took an order for the next day for him. He said it did not disappoint and reminded him of home - I tried a bite of his and can confirm it was delicious. We finished off by buying some Mrs Balls to take home, had this not been available I’d have absolutely questioned the authenticity of the place haha.

South African cuisine is generally not up my alley but they did do a lovely cheese scone and hot chocolate. All round lovely place to pop into and it made our holiday extra special especially as our finding the place was completely serendipitous.

  First time in this town, will be back just for this cafe - This place is amazing, food staff fantastic, we live in Devon, but planning trips around a lunch break at the superb cafe going forward.

  Had a lovely meal and a hot drink whilst being in town. Best latte ever, very friendly staff and owners. Can't wait to go back and try the interesting menu.
